Students in Grades 6-8 learn through instruction and games the skills they need to safely stay home alone and care for young children, including basic child care and safety skills and how to run their own babysitting business.
Skills learned include safety, childcare, First-Aid and rescue, and life and business. The course will also cover the first steps of CPR and choking child.
The program is offered at no cost, but there is a $15 workbook fee. Book scholarships available.
Class will take place in-person and outdoors.
