Early Home Support
Our goal is to ensure that families with young children receive the services they need to thrive. We provide so many services, it is impossible to list them all. The following are some, but it is important to know that we will do what we can to help. Please call us if you need a service that is not listed. We take a family-centered approach, and build our support around each family’s needs.
Connecting to Community Resources
We connect families with community resources, assisting with eligibility, filling out applications, transportation, and more. Some of these resources include:
- fuel assistance
- SNAP (formerly food stamps)
- food programs
- housing
- medical and mental health resources (childbirth classes, prenatal care, dentist referrals, obtaining insurance and more)
- supported referrals for domestic violence
- Christmas help
- early education intervention
- family planning
Individual Attention
The following are just some examples of how we work directly with parents and children to help them thrive:
- lactation support
- education regarding child development and other parenting skills
- advocacy in daycare centers, schools and with DCYF
- mental health assessments
- home visits
- transportation to appointments
- finding pediatricians and other medical specialists
- support regarding nutrition, smoking cessation, prenatal care
- navigating school challenges
Our team members are educated specialists, connected in the community, and passionate about early childhood, knowing that thriving here can make a lifelong difference. Referrals can be self-referrals, referrals from friends, medical professionals, school teachers or counselors, or other involved agencies. There is no right or wrong way to get connected to our services. You can simply give us a call at (603) 924-6800 or email us at info@rivercenter.us for more information or to get connected with an early home support specialist.
